On March 10, 2020, Duxbury FACTS hosted “Teens & Screens: Life Skills for the Digital Age,” and showed the film “Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience.” Little did we know that within days schools and workplaces would close as we shifted into remote mode with the onset of the pandemic. After two and a half years of masking, Zooming, COVID-19 testing, vaccinating and quarantining, Duxbury FACTS is eager to resume its mission with education and resources.
Our dual goals of promoting mental health and preventing substance misuse remain the same. What’s different is the multitude of ways the pandemic challenged us. While we’ve adapted with new skills and ways to connect, we also face the ongoing effects of those challenges. FACTS wants to hear from you – parents, students, teachers, health care providers, coaches – so that we can bring meaningful programs and resources to the community.
Please join us for an open meeting on Tuesday, October 4 at 7:00pm at Alden Elementary School, Room 104, to talk about how we can work together to promote mental wellness and healthy self-care.
